The company brings a new concept to the UK TCT Show that is set to help any business to find the right approach to all things 3D Printing.

Sheffield, UK – September 21, 2017. Additive Manufacturing (AM) is fast evolving and applications are multiplying, which can make it difficult for businesses to stay up to date with the latest developments of the technology.  Materialise, a leading provider of 3D printing software and services in the industrial and medical markets, is committed to pushing the adoption of the technology further and is set to hold its first 3DP AdviceHub at the TCT Show in Birmingham on 26th-28th September.

The 3DP AdviceHub will offer professional advice during the show to any company that is looking to use the technology in a certain segment or specific application. From consultancy and cutting-edge software through to printing services at its 3D printing facilities, this end-to-end view of the AM process enables Materialise to help with any type of 3D printing puzzle – be it for software solutions, prototyping, tooling or parts manufacture – at any stage of a company's AM journey.

How Simulation-Guided AM Can Cut Costs and Save Time

TCT Product Stage, 27th September, 14:50 - 15:10

Dr Christian Rossmann, Technical Lead for Structural Analysis at Materialise will talk about approaches to simulation in AM, providing an overview of techniques currently used at Materialise to simulate builds to prevent print failure or poor part quality. The goal: printing a part "right the first time".

Christian will explain the basic concept of different AM process simulation techniques, and how they can be used to detect failure-prone designs and setups and help optimize the process.

First time live demos of the Materialise Inspector in UK

Materialise Inspector is a powerful process and quality control tool that allows users to quickly examine every layer of a build, detect errors and certify quality. Materialise Inspector can process 5,000 build images and generate a report in 5 minutes. Together with the Materialise Build Processor and the Materialise Control Platform they form the Materialise R&D platform solution that allow users to take full control of the machine and truly make sensible changes.

Gusset support type: The next steps in support generation

The new Materialise e-Stage 7.0 offers a support type for the Stereolithography users that decreases the build time and resin consumption up to 50%. This will improve efficiency both terms of build time and material consumption.

The eyewear supply chain reinvented - with AM

The TCT Show will also present an exciting opportunity for UK audiences to see game-changing eyewear solution Yuniku in action. It is the world's first vision-centric eyewear, based on a fully digital supply chain created by Materialise and HOYA Vision Care. Yuniku uses 3D scanning, parametrisation and process automation in combination with HOYA's lens positioning know-how. The result is truly bespoke frames, 3D-printed at Materialise's Certified Additive Manufacturing facility, which stay true to the perfect lens position for the individual wearer. And thanks to the open software platform, Yuniku is open to any eyewear brand and designer.

Get hands-on with HP Multi Jet Fusion

Visitors have the opportunity of a first-hand, up-close look at parts produced with the technology everyone is talking about: HP Multi Jet Fusion. Materialise, as a foundational partner of HP, has been closely involved with the development of the technology from both software and manufacturing aspects. Now, to meet the demand for MJF parts and offer its customers the widest possible range of 3D printing technologies, Materialise is among the first to develop a fully-fledged machine park for Multi Jet Fusion comprising 8 HP Jet Fusion 3D 4200 printing machines. Visitors are invited to visit the TCT booth to discuss any questions about this new technology, from design tips to software support.
